David Wingrove (born Septmber 1954 in North Battersea, London) is a British science fiction author and critic. He is best-known for his work on the Chung Kuo series and the novel adaptations of the Myst computer games. Along with Brian Aldiss, he won a Hugo Award in 1987 for his work on Trillion-Year Spree, a book of SF criticism.


David Wingrove worked in banking for seven years before attending the University of Kent in Canterbury, where he read English and American Literature. He is married to his wife, Susan, and has four daughters.
